Event Overview
The Capital Athletics Under Age Championships showcase the next generation of talent, bringing together the ACT’s best young athletes for a weekend of exciting competition. Athletes from across the region will test themselves in a full range of track and field events, striving for personal bests, championship titles, and the chance to shine on a big stage.
This event is a celebration of junior athletics, providing a platform for emerging stars to experience high-quality competition in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Entry Information
- Entry: Online entry only, we will NOT be accepting late or on the day entries
- Entries Close: Monday 9th February 2026 mid-day
- Entry Fee: Entry fees are $30 for first event and $15 for the next two with a cap of $60 therafter
- Eligibility: Athletes must be registered with Capital Athletics, another state/territory athletics body affiliated with Australian Athletics, or an overseas federation affiliated with World Athletics.
Athlete Information
- Check-In Process: All athletes U14 and above must check in for each event at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start time at the designated check-in area.
- Uniform Requirements: Athletes must compete in their club uniform with their current season competition number. A $10 admin fee will apply for lost or replacement bibs.

Competition shoes: World Athletics regulations for athletic shoes will only be enforced for World Ranking events. Shoes can be checked for compliance here.
- Warm-Up Areas: Warm-up will be permitted on the back straight between events; please be mindful of track usage and respectful of fellow competitors at all times.
- Facilities: Toilets, change rooms, first aid available onsite
- Parking & Access: Parking for the AIS Track and Field Centre is available in the car park adjacent to the facility, located at the end of Battye Street in front of Canberra Stadium. The venue is fully accessible, with appropriate seating, restrooms, and pathways for all attendees.
