2026 Australian Athletics (Underage/Junior) Championships 

Dates: Wednesday 15th - Sunday 20th April 2026

Venue: Queensland Sport & Athletics Centre, Nathan, QLD

Nominations open 24th January 2026 for the 2026 Australian Athletics (Underage/Junior) Championships. Athletes are to nominate for the events they are interested in competing in at the championships in QLD and provide a link to these results.

To qualify for this event you must either:

• Meet the qualifying standards set by Australian Athletics between the dates of 1 January 2025 & 15th March 2026 - Entry Standards | Australian Athletics

OR

• Compete in the 2025 Capital Athletics U9 - U18 ACT Championships, finish top 3 and produce a result that is not lower than 90% of the above standards - this may also result in selection. If unable to attend due to injury/illness, compulsory school event or competing at higher level competition an Extenuating Circumstances form must be completed by 11.55pm Sunday 15th March 2026 along with nominating via this portal.

An event entry fee of $57.00 per event, per athlete will be required to be paid at time of acceptance of offer. The Team Administration Levy of $150.00 will cover the transport and accommodation costs of the team management group, including a team physiotherapist.

All individual travel, accommodation, and associated costs are the responsibility of the athlete.
