Event Overview

Capital Athletics is excited to announce the return of our Summer Series for the 2026/2027 season. This series of meets provides the perfect platform for athletes to stay active, competitive and ready for an exhilarating Summer of competition in the ACT. Whether you're seeking to qualify for the 2027 Australian Athletics Championships, getting reps in for the 2027 CA U20 & Open or Junior Championships, or just merely wanting to maintain fitness, Summer Series is for you. Eligibility

Athletes must be:

• Registered and financial 2026/2027 members of a Capital Athletics member club, an Australian Athletics-affiliated club, a Little Athletics Australia-affiliated club, or a World Athletics-affiliated overseas club.

• Para athletes must have at least a Provisional Classification and cannot compete in both able-bodied and Para events for the same age category.

• Athletes must be 10 years old by the 31st of December in order to compete. Additionally, certain age eligibility rules may apply to specific events. Please refer to the technical regulations for complete eligibility requirements (TBC).

Track

• Sprints: 100m, 200m, 400m
• Middle Distance: 800m, 3000m
• Long Distance: 5000m
• Hurdles: 80m Hurdles, 90m Hurdles, 100m Hurdles, 110m Hurdles
• Steeplechase: 2000m Steeplechase, 3000m Steeplechase
• Walks: 1500m Walk, 3000m Walk, 5000m Walk
• Relays: 2x100m Relay

Field

• Vertical Jumps: Pole Vault
• Horizontal Jumps: Long Jump
• Throws: Discus Throw, Hammer Throw
• Seated Throws: Seated Discus Throw, Seated Club Throw

Entry fees for this event are outlined as follows.

U20 & Open CA All-Access Competition Members - $0.00

U20 & Open CA Standard Members - $25.00

U10 - U18 CA All-Access Competition Members - $0.00

U10 - U18 CA Standard Members - $25.00

Interstate Affiliated Athletes - $25.00

• Opens: 9:00am, Monday 14th of September, 2026

• Closes: 9:00pm, Thursday 15th of October, 2026

On-the-day entries may be available, pending availability. However, in order to avoid disappointment, we advise you to sign-up online in advance. 

Check-In & Bib Collection

• Online check-in will be used, you will receive correspondence via SMS or email with details on how to check-in.  The header/title of the text message will start with "https://athleticsresults.net".  Please do not ignore/delete this message.  It is not a spam message.

• Competition bib and club uniform (with age patch) must be worn. A $10.00 administration fee will apply for lost or replacement competition bibs.

Multi-Class & Para Events

• Multi-Class events will be offered, regulations and availability TBC.
