Nominations are now open for the 2026 Australian Cross Country Championships, to be held in Ballarat, Victoria, on 22 & 23 August 2026. This is your opportunity to represent the ACT on the national stage and compete against the country's top cross country athletes.

Whether you're chasing a national medal, striving for a personal best, or simply looking to experience the excitement of competing in an Australian Championship, we'd love to see you nominate.

Nominations will be open between 18th July - 23rd July ONLY.

Please note: Submitting a nomination does not automatically enter you into the Championships. Capital Athletics will finalise entries with Australian Athletics once nominations have closed and eligibility has been confirmed.

Important Membership Requirement

To compete at the Australian Cross Country Championships, all athletes must hold a current 2026/27 Capital Athletics membership.

All athletes must become a 2026/27 member no later than Friday 31 July 2026.

This deadline is essential as Capital Athletics is required to submit all athlete entries to Australian Athletics by Tuesday 4 August 2026, and Australian Athletics will not accept entries for athletes who are not current members.

If you are planning to compete, we strongly encourage you to renew your membership well before the deadline to avoid any delays.
