Capital Athletics Launches 2026 Winter Series

Capital Athletics has launched its 2026 Winter Series, delivering a familiar and well established program designed to keep athletes engaged, competitive and connected throughout the winter season.

Building on the strengths of previous years, the series continues to provide consistent competition opportunities across disciplines, including cross country, race walking, road races and track and field events, supporting participation at all levels of the sport.

A key feature of the 2026 program is the Road Walk Championships, which will be conducted as part of the 59th Race Walk Australia LBG Walking Carnival, further strengthening the event’s national profile and competitive depth.

The Road Race Championships will also be a significant feature, delivered as a World Ranking Permit event for the first time and providing athletes with the opportunity to achieve internationally recognised performances.
